The 13th International Power Equipment and Technology Exhibition (EP China) and the 6th International Electrical Engineering and Electrical Equipment Exhibition, hosted by the China Electric Power Enterprise Federation, will be held again from October 19th to 21st, 2010 at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing.
EP China is a major brand project of China Electric Power Union, which has received strong support from the entire industry. State Grid Corporation of China, Southern Power Grid Corporation of China, Huaneng Group, Datang Group, Huadian Group, State Grid Corporation of China, China Electric Power Investment Group, Shenhua Group, China National Nuclear Corporation, Three Gorges Corporation of the Yangtze River, China National Nuclear Power Technology Corporation, China General Nuclear Power Group, Guangdong Yuedian Group, Zhejiang Energy Group, Hydroelectric Consulting Group, Electric Power Construction Group, Gezhouba Group, China Electrical Engineering Society, and China Hydroelectric Power Engineering Society have all served as supporting units for the exhibition.
Since its establishment, EP China has held 12 consecutive sessions every two years. As a major exhibition in China's power industry, EP China has long been renowned for its scale, number of exhibitors, audience quality, promotional effectiveness, and brand influence. Especially, the 13th exhibition has an area of over 23000 square meters, making it one of the previous power exhibitions.
EP China, as an internationally renowned power brand exhibition, has attracted the attention of domestic and foreign power companies. In this exhibition, more than 500 enterprises from 20 countries and regions including Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and the United States have been confirmed to participate. We have also carefully organized a large official exhibition delegation from institutions such as the Commerce Department of the German and US embassies in China, and the Electrical and Related Manufacturers Association of the UK to participate in the exhibition.
Famous enterprises such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider, Hitachi, Eaton, Hyundai, GE, Omegabao, AE Parva, Xiaoxing, Alstom, Nanrui Group, Ocean King, Xuji Group, Tianzheng Group, Dongfang Electronics, Zhongdian Electric, Kelu Electronics, and Sida Watch participated in this exhibition. At the six exhibition halls of the China International Exhibition Center, various technologies and equipment related to power generation, transmission and distribution, smart grid, communication scheduling, power automation, energy conservation and emission reduction, as well as intelligent power meters and management systems, medium and low voltage electrical products, special tools for power maintenance, and fittings, will be showcased, comprehensively reflecting the advanced level of current power industry technology. It is a rare event for the industry to witness new technologies and products in the world of power.
Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the development of China's power industry has achieved remarkable results, making significant contributions to the rapid and healthy development of the national economy and the continuous improvement of people's lives. As of now, the installed capacity of power generation in China has exceeded 900 million kilowatts, with a total length of 399400 kilometers of 220 kV and above transmission lines and a capacity of 1.762 billion kilovolt amperes of 220 kV and above substation equipment. A cross provincial and cross regional power grid with 500 kV as the backbone network and a provincial backbone network with large consumer provinces have been basically formed. The ultra-high voltage transmission technology, representing the advanced technology of the world power grid, has been put into operation in China, and the scale of China's power grid has jumped to the world's first place.
At the same time, clean energy power generation is developing rapidly in China. As of now, China's installed hydropower capacity has exceeded 200 million kilowatts, ranking among the world's largest, accounting for approximately 22.22% of the country's total installed power generation capacity; The installed capacity of nuclear power is 9.08 million kilowatts, accounting for approximately 1% of the total installed capacity of power generation in the country; The installed capacity of wind power has achieved a doubling growth for three consecutive years, and the grid connected operating capacity has reached 17.6 million kilowatts, accounting for approximately 2% of the total installed capacity of power generation in the country. The Chinese power industry has made important contributions to alleviating energy and resource conflicts and protecting the global environment. China is currently in a critical period of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and there is still a lot of room for development in the power industry, especially in the era of green power development, which poses severe challenges to the power industry. In this situation, the holding of this exhibition by China Electric Power Union is of special significance.
Today, with the accelerating pace of economic globalization, the development of China's power industry has been closely connected with the world and has become an important component of the world's power industry. International advanced power technology has a vast market in China.
As a joint organization of national power enterprises and institutions, China Electric Power Federation actively implements national industrial policies, fully leverages industry advantages, adheres to service concepts, and is actively committed to conducting exchanges and cooperation in the domestic and foreign power industry, promoting technological progress in China's power industry. EP China has witnessed the rapid development of China's power industry over the past 20 years, and has also made important contributions to the introduction of advanced foreign power technologies and equipment, promotion of technical cooperation and exchange between domestic and foreign power enterprises, and communication of power information.
Compared to previous editions, this EP China has the following significant characteristics:
1、 The official exhibition groups organized by foreign organizations are larger in scale than in previous years.
2、 In order to cooperate with the construction of China's intelligent power system and promote technological progress in the energy meter industry, EP China will also hold the 5th National Exhibition on Intelligent Energy Measurement Equipment and Energy Management Systems, and hold a seminar on intelligent energy meter technology. Domestic and foreign experts and technical personnel will be invited to exchange and discuss hot issues such as smart grids and energy management systems, intelligent energy meters, detection equipment, and chip manufacturing.
3、 In order to improve the level of power automation technology in China, the organizer will also hold the 2010 International Power Automation Equipment and Technology Exhibition at the same time, showcasing various advanced power automation control equipment and technologies independently developed by China.
4、 In conjunction with the exhibition, the organizer will also hold a series of power technology seminars and lectures, including transmission and distribution technology, energy conservation and emission reduction technology, power automation technology, etc., which will complement the exhibition and provide industry insiders with an understanding of the development trends of world power technology, and a deeper communication platform for industry and enterprise decision-makers and professional technical personnel.

6、 The next exhibition, the 8th Shanghai International Electric Power Equipment and Technology Exhibition (EP Shanghai 2011), hosted by the China Electric Power Federation, will be held from September 21 to 23, 2011 at the Shanghai World Expo Theme Hall. The exhibition covers an area of 25000 square meters and is twice the size of the previous one. The organizer will accept EP Shanghai's booth reservation during this EP China session, continuing to build a platform for technical exchange between domestic and foreign power companies.
